Clean Up Your *Essentials - Literally

When my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, one of the first things she told me to do was to stop using my deodorant. I was like... whaaaaaat?!?! And also like... no way!

She took me to the store to buy a deodorant without antiperspirant/aluminum. And then I felt sweaty and stinky and I was miserable, but I also didn't want breast cancer. Then I discovered that the deodorant that I got at the drugstore had parabens and other things that could cause cancer, so I went to Whole Foods and got another one without all of the bad stuff. I still felt sweaty and stinky and miserable, but I also still didn't want breast cancer (and by this point, I had already had a few scares and a few biopsies).

I thought I would just deal with it. About 5 years ago, I found a clean deodorant that worked, but it was super messy (a cream) and stained my clothes. I tried maybe 25 different deodorants after that and up until earlier this year, wasn't sure that it existed... but it does!
